Additionally, the noise from the street made it difficult to sleep at night, as I was often woken up by barking dogs and crowing roosters. The thin walls offered little sound insulation, making my stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.

Hot water in the shower was reliable, making it easy to refresh after a day of exploring. Breakfast exceeded expectations, featuring a delicious buffet with fresh fruit, juice, eggs, and more. The location was just a few blocks from the main plaza, making it convenient for enjoying the vibrant town. On the downside, the shower did drain slowly, leaving a couple of inches of water at my feet, which was quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was hit or miss. though it didn’t bother me much, it’s worth noting for those who rely on a steady connection. Overall, if you’re looking for a cozy place with good vibes and a caring host, Picaflor Tambo is a solid choice!

We had a lovely stay with our kids! The highlight was the great views from the upstairs balcony where we enjoyed breakfast. The staff was incredibly friendly and even packed us a special breakfast for our early trip to Machu Picchu.

My children wished for better sound insulation in the rooms.

This place was a good match for strolling around Ollantaytambo and offered high value for money. I really appreciated the electric kettle in the room for making tea anytime. Make sure to check out the breakfast options, eggs made to order are fantastic.

i recently stayed at picaflor tambo guest house for a wedding celebration, and it exceeded my expectations. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the main square and the house was so charming and clean. the relaxing sounds of the nearby stream added a wonderful ambiance to our stay here.

We stayed in the Standard Double Room for 2 nights. The room was nicely decorated and super clean, which I loved. But wow, it was noisy at night! Motorcycles zoomed by and those roosters were like alarm clocks without a snooze button. Plus, it was cold with no heat, and the shower was a bit tricky to adjust. Still, the location was great, and the staff were friendly!
